| Vulture Property, Maricopa County, Arizona |
Highlights
The claims are located on property whose geology and mineralization have proven historically positive. It is believed that the original Vulture mine was the largest gold producing mine in Arizona. Based on previous production history of the area, favorable geological and tectonic settings, the presence of surface mineralization and results of a 2008 43-101, we have concluded that the property is of merit and posses good potential for discovery of gold and silver. Source has recently commissioned a full geological report (43-101 equivalent) and expect to announce its completion and will post it on this website later this month.
Ownership
Source Gold Corp. holds 100% ownership of all the claims.
Location and Access
The 23 properties are either contiguous to, or in close proximity to the historically famous Vulture Mine. The area the claims are located approximately 9 – 10 miles (15 – 17 kilometers) south west of the city of Wickenburg in Maricopa County in Arizona.
The claims are west and North West of the historical Vulture Mine.
There are accessible local roadways into the claim area and highways into the city of Wickenburg.
The Hassayama River runs through the property and although mainly underground, through wells, provides a viable water source.
Weather conditions permit for work on the property to occur year round.
Geological Report (43-101)
More detail will provided upon completion of the 43 101 but at this time it has been determined from previous reports that anomalous values of gold, silver, copper, zinc and lead have been found in samples. The concentrations indicate a gold-silver-copper-lead-zinc porphyry type mineralization environment in the area.
Size
There are a total of 23 Claims with each claim being approximately 20.7 acres for a total of approximately 476 acres.
Exploration Strategy
The exploration strategy will initially be organized in two phases. A more detailed strategy will be determined upon completion of the recently commissioned geological report (43-101). Below is a simplified outline of what Source expects will be our exploration strategy based on the data at we have at hand at this time.
Stage I
- Historical production records and geo physical mappings will be reviewed;
- Historical sampling that has been done will also be considered;
- New samples will be taken and assayed from each of the claims as well as in areas showing previous drill holes;
-
Based on data gathered , systematic trench sampling and grid mapping will be done. Stage II
- Airborne survey
- Geophysical survey
- Magnetometer survey
- Based upon results of the above surveys, systematic diamond drilling will commence. |
